Dallas County COVID-19 Update
As of August 30, 2020, Dallas county has 71,170 confirmed cases with a total death of 901. A campaign called #NorthTXDoesItRight having an action to help us stop the spread of COVID-19, which you can be part of by following the safety guidelines created by the Dallas County Health Guidance.
Dallascounty.org also listed the guidance for individuals at high-risk individuals are people that meet any one of the following criteria:
65 years of age or older
Live in a nursing home or long-term care facility
Have an underlying medical condition;
Lung disease including moderate to severe asthma and COPD, Serious heart conditions and hypertension, Immunocompromised (including cancer treatment, smoking, bone marrow or organ transplants, immune deficiencies, poorly controlled HIV or AIDS, and prolonged use of corticosteroids and other immune weakening medications), are obese, have diabetes, have chronic kidney disease or are undergoing dialysis and have liver disease.
Collin County COVID-19 Update
As of August 30, 2020, there are 10,946 confirmed cases in Collin County with a total death of 111.
Testing is still ongoing. You can schedule an appointment for testing in the Walmart store’s parking lot located at 1721 N. Custer Rd., McKinney, TX 7507 from Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays weekly from 7 – 9 a.m. They are testing all health care providers and first responders and people who are showing symptoms of the COVID-19.
